Thankfully we don’t have many that we would not be proud to put our badge on. When we send kits abroad, they are often re-badged by the installer to suit their business, with which we have no problems. However our products, especially Slidebacks, are easy to identify so we get quite a lot of feedback from potential buyers. The Iveco 80E 18S shown is an example of excellent workmanship in the installation of our kits by a German installer.

One of the last Renault 160-65 single cab, Mascotts was delivered to the TRS facility in Fishponds, Bristol for the installation of a TRS275 Slideback system, which included a Second Car Carrier with a 1,000 kg capacity. The Mascott is due to be discontinued, but has served the Recovery Industry very well in recent years here and on the Continent. In Germany a TRS customer has taken advantage of a price reduction on the chassis, and sent it to TRS. The truck is now working well in Germany, collecting and delivering Renault cars.

 Slideback Kits showing as a display at a Trade Show, and a few recipient chassis that have been converted by their owners. The MAN has already been converted, finished and painted, and returned to TRS, to collect more kits for their requirements.
TRS has gained a reputation for supplying and installing quality Slideback systems to suit most chassis over 5 tonnes GVW. The TRS350 is the most popular, manufactured to suit 7.5 tonne to 10 tonne GVW chassis cabs. However all of the TRS range of Slidebacks have been designed for ease of installation which makes it ideal to sell in kit form. The TRS275, designed to fit 5/6.5 tonne Iveco Daily and Renault Mascott, 6/7.5 tonne Isuzu and Mitsubishi range of chassis. They are lighter and narrower than their sister TRS350/400 and give an excellent payload, even on a 6 tonne chassis. The TRS500/600 which fits nicely onto 11 tonne to 15 tonne GVW chassis and occasionally installed on an 18 tonner with a crane. On each of the model range, the platform is finished, decked to a length with over long side raves, the galvanised chassis subframe (supplied over length) has the tilting inner body subframe, also galvanised, attached by the hinge. Where there is a requirement for a Second Car Lift (which would include special securing straps and ratchets) or towing beam it would be fitted, hinged to the rear. The valve block with stainless steel face plate and surround is in place to the nearside, although it can be easily moved to the opposite side for left hand drive configuration. All appropriate rams and hoses are in place ready to be piped up to your PTO/Pump. Also included as part of the package, an oil tank, Flyer, toolbox, hose chain and tray, mud flaps, and protective aluminium capping for the side raves. Each kit comes with fitting instructions, showing how it is assembled and fitted to the chassis of your choice. The Flyer style including integral lockers was requested to obtain as much storage space as possible. Other ideas included fitting a special hydraulic oil tank to the rear of the cab to free up chassis space, two stainless steel chassis mounted toolboxes, wrecker kit, in a tray, fitted to the top of the larger box, cone holder poles and six cones to the chassis near the control panel. Even the trailer board is fitted to the front of the Flyer and the spare wheel carrier to the second car lift.
